Wiz was great, but delayed and too short!
Saosin's DJ came out at 9:20 to an anxious crowd, but everyone realized the DJ wasn't very good after 10PM. The next hour was excellent, with Saosin playing his hits, but he only played for an hour. Once 10PM hit, everyone had been waiting an hour and fifteen minutes from the time of the opener to see Saosin. He played a lot of his best songs, and his voice was excellent (album/mixtape quality). Saosin went hard, and the show was amazing. After about 20-25 minutes of the entire crowd boo-ing the DJ, Saosin finally came out at 10:25.
As my friends have reminded me, it is a rap show, and you can't expect them to stay out there for very long. Why do we hold rappers to a lower standard than any other musician? Since rap doesn't even involve the playing of instruments, this baffles me. If you went to see a Dave Matthews Concert or any popular act for that matter, would playing for 1 hour be acceptable? To that I have to ask, "Why the hell not??" Lets start holding these artists to a higher standard.
In conclusion, the delay to come on-stage and only one hour of music definitely took a lot away from the show, but all in all, the show was excellent. I absolutely love Saosin and have been listening to him non-stop for about 6 months now. He did not disappoint.
